Special Programs
Hillcrest High School offers a Small Learning Community for incoming 9th
graders, where students strategically share the same team of teachers to meet
their scholarly needs. 10th grade is supported through a Small Learning
Community concept as well and career pathways, where students investigate career
choices and college majors, determining interest and designating their choice
for academy.
The Advanced Academics program is exemplary, staffed with recruited teachers from
across the metroplex who challenge students who are college bound, offering a
rigorous and differentiated challege to each student. Hillcrest also offers a
wide variety of programs for those with learning challenges. Whether a student
is an English language learner or requires an enriched education tailored to
their individual needs, the HHS ESL and Special Education program is renowned
district and area wide.
